Today (October 12), Ho Chi Minh City inaugurated the construction investment project of Campus 2 of Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital. This is a project with a total investment of more than 5,800 billion VND, with a scale of 1,000 hospital beds. Facility 2 of Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital. Ho Chi Minh City has a scale of 1000 beds, built with a full range of outpatient medical examination and treatment areas, subclinical and medical diagnosis areas, administrative areas, technical infrastructure systems and ancillary works aid. The system of modern equipment is fully equipped to meet the needs of medical examination and treatment when the hospital operates at its full design scale.
The highlight of this project is the main block located in the center of the land, with a construction area of 16,925 m2, total floor area of the floating surface 84,351 m2, basement floor area 28,230 m2. This building block is 10 floors high, including 3-storey podium, 2 6-storey tower blocks, technical floor, 2 basements.

Before the inauguration, Facility 2 Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital received medical examination and treatment for patients from October 2. According to Mr. Diep Bao Tuan, Deputy Director of Oncology Hospital, initially, Facility 2 Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital will receive about 400 patients/day. It is expected that by the end of December 2020, the reception capacity will increase to 1,000 patients/day. By the first quarter of 2021, when Facility 2 is eligible to receive inpatients, all inpatients will be transferred to Facility 2, Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital.
Facility 2 Oncology Hospital helps reduce the overload of cancer patients in the city. Ho Chi Minh and the southern provinces.
