Prepared equipment and meals for F0 and doctors

“I can stay at home, I can dress comfortably, I can do whatever I want, but they (F0) can’t. I love seeing that! Remembering the unfortunate thing that I got sick, what should I do when I fall into the situation, no one can help me “- Ms. Linh – a resident of New City Apartment could not hold back her tears.

Residents join hands to donate items to the field hospital

Received news of campaigning to contribute to support and help F0 people who are being treated at the newly established field hospital next to the apartment they live in (New City Apartment, An Khanh Ward, Thu Duc City), Ms. Linh did not hesitate to donate more than 200 electric fans with friends and relatives

“On the first day, when I heard that this abandoned apartment building next door would be converted into a field hospital to take care of F0, I was really worried at that time. Worried that if this hospital was established right next to the apartment I live in, will it affect my life? Can I get sick from it? But then thinking about that apartment building that has been empty for many years, the facilities are not guaranteed, they – the F0 who already have a disease in their body, now have to live and receive treatment in an unfavorable environment in the early days. how. Then I heard that the residents here are supporting and asking everyone to help the fan to transfer it to the F0s, so I also want to help them out a bit, “- Ms. Linh confided.

In the mid-July days, the COVID-19 epidemic situation in Ho Chi Minh City was complicated, the number of infections kept increasing, reaching 5-digit levels and showing no sign of decreasing. The apartment complex in Thu Thiem New Urban Area (An Khanh Ward, Thu Duc City) was selected and quickly converted into field hospitals No. 6, 7, 8, 9 to treat F0.

Nhu My – a resident of New City – one of the people who came up with the idea, called on people in the apartment to donate necessary items and send them to a field hospital. Ms. My confided that the apartment complex, now a field hospital, was built by her company and has been abandoned for more than 5 years. When this apartment building was planned to be converted into a field hospital, the technical brothers in Ms. My’s company were dispatched to assist in the installation of equipment in the apartment, so from then on, Ms. My knew about the early days. The newly established hospital is lacking in many things.

“At that time, I contacted Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy – President of the Mothers’ Association to plan the implementation. Next, I told Ms. Chi (New City resident) that Ms. Chi had an empty space, so Ms. Chi immediately agreed. Then the two sisters implemented the plan, calling for households in New City. Unexpectedly, right after receiving the call for information, many residents supported us with items such as fans, instant noodles, drinking water, etc., so that we could move into the hospital area for patients and medical staff. doctor” – Ms. My said.

Spread the sharing

After 10 days of joining hands, calling on everyone to support and share, so far, hundreds of fans, boxes of noodles, thousands of bottles of water have been delivered to the nurses, doctors as well as F0s at the Hospital. Nhu My said, “many apartment residents, after supporting, also called and mobilized their relatives and friends to join hands to help, so this job is no longer the responsibility of every New City apartment resident. has spread to many regions.”

Nhu My added, after the first days of deploying essential supplies, her group also implemented a plan to prepare meals. Currently, every day, about 500 meals are delivered to the hospital for doctors and nurses. The porridge is cooked and prepared to be transported to the field hospital for the children.

“Like this morning, I received a call from a doctor inside the 8th Field Hospital that there were 15 babies over a year old, and needed 15 servings of porridge for lunch. I quickly contacted the kitchens to see if they were ready in time and fortunately, a kitchen informed me that they could prepare, now the porridge is on the way to be transported to the hospital for the children.” – Ms. My shared.
